Description:
A Customer Service Technician will complete installation and service repair calls to residential and commercial fibre customers. The primary responsibilities of the Customer Service Technician are:
Install and repair Residential and Commercial FTTH Fiber Testing, Cat5, Phone and TV Services.
Deliver exceptional customer experience and high-quality installations.
Safety conscious and able to adhere to a highly focused safety culture.
Responsible for a geographical area to complete assigned daily work.
Self-motivated and highly organized to manage workload with minimal direction.
Be highly adaptable to constantly changing technologies, methods, and procedures.
Safely working aloft 32 ft and higher with use of ladder / bucket truck.
Ability to understand and communicate drawings, work orders, to complete jobs.
Qualifications:
Care about providing exceptional customer experiences, overcoming objections, and handling both favorable and unfavorable customer interactions.
Comfortable with recommending the proper Mainland Telecom services and products to customers.
Work collaboratively in a team environment and can also work with minimal supervision.
Broad problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Able to maintain a high level of performance while working with time constraints in a dynamic work environment.
Normal colour vision which is required to work with color-coded wiring.
Can balance a physically demanding workload, which includes standing, lifting, climbing, bending, crawling in confined spaces, and working in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments.
Able to work various shifts: days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, to meet business needs and customer availability.
Fluent in English with a clear and professional written and oral communication style.
Ability to communicate in French considered an asset.
Natural technical aptitude, and proficient knowledge of common consumer electronic devices
Dedicated to continuous learning with abilities to learn formally and informally in a dynamic environment.
Education, Certifications & Experience:
Proven record of customer service.
Valid driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract.
Class 5 license considered an asset.
Clear criminal background check.
Experience in construction/telecommunications (2 Years Preferred).
FOA (Fiber Optic Association) Certifications will be considered asset.
Training will be provided to less experienced candidates showing an aptitude for the position.
